My Thoughts on members of the Jena 6 getting a standing ovation at the BET awards

My thoughts on this are complete and total disgust for BET,it's executives, and it's sponsors. For one, allowing 2 criminals to present an award at what I thought was a reputable awards show is a travesty. Second, they aren't the poor young black men being run through the legal system because of their race they are in fact terrible criminals who have past histories with the law who teamed up on one kid. I dont feel sorry for anyone of ANY RACE who along with 5 of their friends beats up one child, but to call them heroes and to get a standing ovation at BET is a joke. I hope the Jena 6 get convicted of the crimes they committed and receive the punishment they deserve.

P.S. FUCK YOU BET,FUCK YOU JENA 6 and FUCK YOU AL SHARPTON you're 3 reasons why racism is so prevalent in this country

P.P.S. This is my opinion and anyone who is offended by it give me your address and ill send you some no more tears shampoo

Is Ellen Degeneres Really Serious?

Hi Everyone, JB here I am sure that all of you have heard about the plight of Iggy the Dog and Ellen Degeneres who gave him away to her hairdresser. Does anyone else think this is a waste of airtime? I mean c'mon she has millions of dollars, millions of fans, and a lot of media power. But instead of spending her time devoted to real causes such as I dont know maybe raising awareness about AIDS or fighting for cancer or even fighting against ritual killings. She devotes her airtime and all of her focus to one dog who has already been put in another home. That is absolute foolishness it's not like the family had the dog that long or not like they couldn't get another dog. Also her breaking down and crying on national TV was a pointless attempt at getting her way. The people on the Bill Maher show were right she's upset shes not getting her way and she will do anything to get that dog back include threaten people with legal action. I dont see Ellen getting mad at the people making death threats against the people who took in the dog. She's a self serving wench.

300 Million people have agreed with me that nobody really cares about Ellen Degeneres.

A Guy's Guide: How To Be A Procrastinator.

Hello everyone, JB here giving you The Ultimate Guy's Guide to Procrastinating. In order to be a procrastinator, it is essential that you have a bit of a lazy streak. You must also be a quick thinker and be able to work under pressure. If you can do all of those things, you are on your way to being a good procrastinator.

Having a lazy streak isn't as easy as some make it out to be. To have the ability to be lazy often includes having a lot of excuses as to why your work can't be done such as "I have work to do" or the famous "I don't feel like it."

Being able to work under pressure involves a lot of Mountain Dew or the favorite caffeine drink of your choice and sacrificing the last night before your next class to getting that "A" paper.

The final step to being a good procrastinator is being a good thinker. You must be able to have wit and humor to make that last minute paper look better than those papers from the people who work too hard.

In conclusion, to be a good procrastinator involves Mountain Dew, a sharp mind, and putting off your most important work until the last minute.

Who's a better president? George W Bush or a Hershey Bar: An Objective Analysis

Hello Friends, JB here again with a new story. Me and my friend were talking the other day about "Dubya" and how incredibly worthless of a president he was. So I came up with this analysis of who would make a better president.

George Bush costs us a minimum of 400,000 dollars a year, plus all of the war costs and moronic laws that he's passed I'd say he's costed us about a couple of trillion dollars. The Hershey bar costs about a dollar. George Bush sold the United States to foreign companies at close out costs. The Hershey Bar loves us and would never do that. The Hershey Bar can probably pronounce the word "nuclear" and we know Dubya can't. The Hershey Bar helps students at Yale get A's. Dubya was a C average student. Dubya doesn't want to give free healthcare to dependents under 18. The Hershey Bar would for sure do that and definitely tastes good.

If anyone can think of any other comparisions post them please

The Hottest Women Ever

Yeah, I know; this is more of a cheap way to get hits than an actual article. No man out there can say that this was a wasted click though. Looking at pictures of hot chicks is never a waste of time. This is a list of chicks I believe to be the hottest in the universe, in no particular order. Take a nice break from the news and enjoy some boobs.

Nothing clever this week, I merely played around with the picture captions.

Ten Best Bands of the 90s

A few of us got together to reminisce on the 90s. Looking over all the music, from one-time hits to quality albums, it became pretty apparent that there were plenty of good 90s bands. Check the list and let us know who are your best bands from the 90s.

1. Sublime

Starting out in the LBC, Sublime's style is one that is still plain awesome to this day. Though the band suffered from the loss of lead singer Brad Nowell to heroine overdose, they still have sold 10 million albums and gave the 90s much appreciated musical goodness. Here's probably one of the best summer songs you can have (if it's not on your playlist, make it so, number 1) "Santeria", from their self-titled album from '96.

2. Nirvana
Another quality Seattle-area band, Nirvana is often credited as being a player in knocking off the popularity of 80s music and putting in a new, appreciated style for a fresh generation. Though much like Sublime, the band had a disbanding with the untimely death of their lead singer, Nirvana's music is still very influential and enjoyable.

3. Red Hot Chili Peppers

Originally formed way back in 1983, The Chili Peppers became solid players in music during the 90s. From the original line-up, vocalist Anthony Kiedis and one of the best bass players of all time, "Flea", still rock hard to this day. Here's a longer video (29 minutes) with some of their best songs. Enjoy.

4. Green Day

I can't believe these guys have been around for nearly 20 years now. Green Day is a band that has held a strong following in several styles of music, though their simple-chord punk style from the 90s is still a preferred favorite for many. It's interesting to know that somewhat like the Beatles, these guys use some classical music schemes in some of the chord progressions in their songs. "Basket Case" still may be one of the best and fun low-budget videos.

5. Korn/Rage Against The Machine

There was some debate over this one, so both just end up sharing a spot here. Rage and Korn were both quite quality, though some may correctly say that Rage rocks just a bit harder. Here's a pretty cool video by Korn (Freak On A Leash), which looking at it, seems some movie producers used as a model for some movie scenes.

6. Radiohead

Oxfordshire band Radiohead is a quality band that many, early on, didn't think would amount to much more than a one-hit wonder. Their initial release, Creep (which is good and easy to learn for those who do acoustic) continues to be a trademark favorite of many to this day. A personal favorite of mine is "Karma Police". By odd coincidence I have a girl, sporting a Hitler-hairdo, nagging me as a type this.

>7. Pearl Jam

Regarded by many to be one of the best bands of all time, Seattle-band Pearl Jam was at the core of the grunge/alternative push in the 90s. Having sold now over 30 million albums, these guys are known for their emphatic music and giving enthusiastic live performances.

8. Weezer

If you've ever sat in a late-night study session, odds are that before the night was over you were full of strong coffee, contempt for having to study about Minoans and chemical reactions as well as a good set of Weezer songs. Originally from Los Angeles, Weezer has a strong start in the early 90s with their released Blue Album (Weezer) and Pinkerton. Here's quite possibly the best video of all time, as it goes to feature a cameo by The Fonz. Here's Buddy Holly, if you haven't seen it, watch it.

9. The Smashing Pumpkins

Lead by the Lex-Luthor-look-a-like Billy Corgan, the Smashing Pumpkins were a definitive band of the 90s. With hit songs such as Tonight, Tonight, 1979, 33 and so on, their distinctive alternative style filled the airwaves and set a standard for many bands. If you listen carefully to the radio on an early Saturday morning shopping run, rumor has it you still may hear these guys on a grocery store's old Top 40 music list. A good song by them, you should surely have on upcoming summer mix cds, is 1979. Another good choice for summer-mix cds.

10. The Offspring

Uno, dos, tres, cuatro, cinco, cinco, seis. With such moving and powerful lyrics, the Offspring found great success during the 90s. Originally formed in OC, California in 1984 (yeah, I know) Offspring has sold over 30 million albums worldwide. To this day I have no clue what is with the lyrics "He's getting a tatoo yeah, he's getting ink done. He asked for a 13 but they drew a 31."

Other Good 90s Bands
Here is a long list of some other 90s bands you may have enjoyed.
Vertical Horizon, A Tribe Called Quest, Tool, Third Eye Blind, Wu-Tang Clan, Smashmouth, Sugar Ray, Goo Goo Dolls, Oasis, Dave Matthews Band, A Perfect Circle, Alice In Chains, Nine Ince Nails, Jane's Addiction, Soundgarden, Limp Bizkit, They Might Be Giants, The NWA, Cake, Prodigy, Presidents of the United States of America, Butthole Surfers, The Counting Crows, Stone Temple Pilots, The Foo Fighters, 311, Metallica, Phish, Hootie and the Blowfish, Boyz 2 Men, Flaming Lips, Massive Attack, The Pixies, Blind Melon, Matt Good Band, John Spencer Blues Explosion, Faith No More, Vertical Horizon, SOD, REM, Ben Folds (Five), Deftones, Blur, Alanis Morisette, Beck, Blink182, Marilyn Manson, Beastie Boys, Spin Doctors, Aersosmith, Alice in Chains, Petty, Garbage, Pantera, Blind Melon, The Verve, White Zombie, The Fugees, Gin Blossoms, Gwar, Cyprus Hill, Rancid, Biohazard, Soul Asylum, Eels, Nada Surf, Cranberries, Superdrag, Collective Soul, Stabbing Westward, Silverchair, The Cranberries, Iron Maiden, U2, Jesus and Mary Chain,Toadies, The Darkness, Dream Theater, Sepultera, Primus

300 Is Made of All Things Awesome and Good

Not since Maximus stood side-by-side with Gladiators, fighting with strength and honor, has such epic and ancient goodness been brought to life on the big screen. There is no way around it, one battle cry that will dominate the movie industry this year; Sparta!

Based on Frank Miller's graphic novel "300", released in 1999, 300 tells of the epic Battle of Thermopylae, where King Leonidas (Gerard Butler) and his men go out and monkeystomp the pride and will of all who would want to enslave Sparta. Only backed with his brave and well-trained brotherhood of 300 men, Leonidas would stand to defy the massive Persian army, numbering in the millions, lorded over by the mighty "god-king" himself, Xerxes.

In the face of such odds, could the bravery and willingness to die for law, freedom and country stand in the way of beasts, Immortal guards and a proclaimed god with seemingly infinite troops and wealth? That's the question the movie poetically delivers and answers for the audience.

Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro) in and of himself is quite a character. If one ever finds himself on an archaeological dig, to find Xerxes all needed is a metal detector and time to poke about for a 9 foot tall coffin. Larger than life, Xerxes' vast power, jewelry and army was only outshone by his arrogance, pride and hubris. Such epic traits, common and varied throughout the characters in this movie, make them quite memorable. One was left wondering could one man, Leonidas, outnumbered by so many and being constantly bribed for a taste of immense power, overcome such odds?

The depictions of the characters in 300 have left some people with a sour taste in their mouths, crying foul over cultural generalizations. This movie is about one thing, though, and one thing only. Quality entertainment. Woven into that entertainment is a great tale about the nature of human emotions, the value of loyalty, the creation of enduring principles, but most of all, sheer theatrical awesomeness that could hardly be held in by a movie screen.

If and when you go to see this you should gird thy loins and prepare for glory. From the story relived on the glorious field of battle to the sub-story that focuses on the strong Queen Gorgo (Lena Headey) challenging the rascally Spartan council, there is plenty for all to enjoy.

"300 is such an awesome film that it may very well rock your face off, much like a sweet guitar riff from Hendrix."
