Iranian Actress Marzieh Vafamehr Tossed in Jail, 90 Lashes for Liberal Movie

I love ripping articles from ChristWire! Hyuck! Eastern wisdom stands promiment today after the High Court of Iran ruled a feminist Arab actress, truly a dangerous profession, must be sentenced to a year in jail and face 90 lashes a month for her role in a left-wing film about the limitation of artists. Actress Marzieh Vafamehr made a political statement in a film about the Islamic republic entitled, “My Tehran for Sale.” The flim was about liberalizing Iran’s hardline stance on not allowing kinky films and women to expose themselves in sultry ways. The conservative Muslims of Iran took great offense to the film which showed the woman baring her body and opinions in ways not allowed by their law. Such flagrant disregard for law and order earned Vafamehr a surprisingly lenient sentence. “A verdict has been issued for Marzieh Vafamehr,” a high Islamic judge exclaimed. “She must spend one year in jail and 90 lashes every 30 days!” The crowd outside the court was very upset over the sentencing. Layman Fahdi al-Malaki furiously cried, stating, “This is an outrage! She is allowed to show her flesh on film, in front of my family and my peers, and only one year! Let us at her with stones. Let us do this injustice right.” While an Imam Fahrar Ahmedkalameh was more subtle in his outrage: “She will burn.” According to sources, the woman’s lawyer will appeal the decision of the high court. An overturn may not be likely, since the female conspired with the Australians to create this smutty film of disobedience to a man’s order. It is often said that things can be learned from even our enemies and this film shows one of those examples. Authority must be maintained in a country and women must be kept in order for a society to thrive. The court reinforcing these values in Iran and have enabled their men to always call for stiffer penalties for the women, and the women know they have no choice but to take those punishments. In Iran, women are rarely out of line. While America is still struggling with this lesson, perhaps in this societal regard we can soon catch up to our englightened friends in Iran.

Fedor Emelianenko or Glass Joe, Your Guess Is Better Than Mine

Fedor Emelianenko basically went down without a fight, much like Glass Joe on Mike Tyson's punchout.  It takes longer to learn how to spell Emeliankenko than it does to go through a Rocky Montage, make up a yummy protein egg drink with help depulped orange juic and listen to Ross Perot rant than it does to knock the sense out of Fedor Emelianenko.

Just be happy Schwarzennegger wasn't there to call him a girly man cheater, because then he would have added getting beat up by a flabby, troll-rogering ex-governor to the resume.

What a monetary disappointment Emeliankenko, but all in all, he's safe and really, it was only a $30 bet at the office.

Will Dolly Parton Ever Stop Making Music on CMT

So yesterday I was flipping through the channels and who would be chirping on CMT but Dolly Parton.

The woman must be in her 80s by now and still does not have that great of a voice, but dang it, she is spunky.   Doubly spunky, which is just worriesome.

The thing about it is that Dolly Parton looks wholesome and has a certain country girl innocent to her.  Maybe that's why she's just always there, being a little song bird that you just don't want to see go away.

Whatever you think about Obamacare and their role in this economic recession, you have to love a songtress who is still working and not showing signs of slowing down.  Perhaps us younger folks should look to Dolly as a guide, because when we're old we are definitely going to have to work way past her age.

RIP George Carlin

Legendary counterculture comedian George Carlin passed away on Sunday at the age of 71. He will be best remembered for his no bullshit attitude and the "seven dirty words" skit.

He will be missed.

My tribute to him in this video

Why doing business with Amway is still a bad idea.

hello folks, I know it's been a while but I have been very busy with school. I did some reading for a paper and found that Amway is still up to its old tricks. They are in the process of being banned in China, India, and the UK. So much for that major cleanup they did in 1999.
