College students everywhere are taking a day of mourning as Momofuku Ando, creator of the ultimate delicacy Top Ramen, has passed away from a heart attack.
Momofuku founded the company, Nissin Food Products Co., who reported his death early Saturday morning.
Mr. Ando's last public speech with the company occurred at the New Year ceremony where he reportedly enjoyed Chicken Ramen along with company staff.
Though he is now gone, Mr. Ando who was 96 is survived by his wife Masako and also the Momofuku Ando Instant Ramen Museum in Japan. It's definitely a place anyone should visit if granted the opportunity to travel to Japan.
On this day we'd like to extend a "Thank You" to Mr. Ando. Money was tight during undergrad and it was nice to always have a nice pack of creamy chicken Ramen to fall on. So thank you Mr. Ando, it's appreciated.

Tonight I shall buy 100 packs of chicken Ramen in your honor Mr. Ando. The beautiful thing is it will only cost me $10.00 for 100 days of food. You'll be missed. *sniff sniff*
LOL...asians and their noodles *shakes head*
I am eating a steaming hot bowl of Nissin chicken ramen right now in honor of you, Ando-san. Thank you for feeding me all these years. Rest in peace.
